About the Campaign
MONO is a trilogy dedicated to black and white photography showcasing an exciting collection of some of the most talented contemporary black and white photographers. MONO is a very prestigious and highly qualitative hardcover book that comes with very high production costs: this is why Gomma is calling all its supporters and followers to back this exciting campaign.
Gomma firmly believes that these crowdfunding campaigns could be a new way forward to produce collectible and highly costly publications, because it enables publishers and its readers to interact with each other and enjoy the benefits of this collaboration together.
The costs of distribution are normally set at around 50% of the cover price of a book, so by avoiding these charges, crowdfunding campaigns create a win-win situation for both the publisher and the buyer. The publisher is able to gather some funding prior to the sales of the book, eliminating the risks of a dry sale, and the buyer can enjoy reduced cover prices and prestigious gifts, a full list of which can be found here . The campaign will close in the morning of Sunday, February 8th, 2015.
