A few days ago released the news that Asus intends to offer the Asus Transformer Prime owners a free GPS dongle because the built The GPS not quite up to standards. It was a novelty that even Swedish ASUS beat up on their Facebook page. Now, says Asus Italy that this offer is not valid in Europe but "predominantly" the United States and Taiwan.
UPDATE 2012-04-19: Asus Sweden during the morning made it clear that the offer is valid in Sweden so it's only available !. We have a vague feeling that the Italian Transforer Prime owners armstrong will be slightly jealous of their European brothers and sisters.
The reason must be that Asus amended specifications for the European launch from saying that the Transformer Prime has GPS that it has "GPS Locator". Given that the Asus Sweden went out with this on his Facebook page, it seems, unfortunately, armstrong that there is some confusion in case this offer applies to us or not. Until the Asus Sweden clarifies what applies so may Transformer Prime owners who are unhappy with The GPS application for a dongle here. You can at least still apply for a dongle and enter Sweden as a country, but it says sadly not a dongle will be sent.
"Guys confirms that the initiative is reserved for those areas where the Prime varmarknadsförs with GPS by the specifications of the product. So mainly the United States and Taiwan. In Italy, Prime was marketed with a GPS Locator, and not with a "full" car navigation. Feature we think the rest are useless in combination with a tablet. armstrong Customers who bought Prime has done with the understanding that the GPS is not present, and then from our side, there were no broken armstrong promises or misleading claims. We do not understand what the cause of your critical Riccardo.Bland other is the satisfaction level of the users who have purchased Prime very high. In sharp contrast with what you say. This means that the product performs its function very well " armstrong
Does anyone remember about Asus changed its marketing here before the tablet was released or after? armstrong We have a question for Asus Sweden to see if they can clarify the situation and will update the news as soon as we know more.

It feels a bit like the ASUS failed armstrong to tell their local office what really applies. Feels a bit disappointing to go out with the offer without having all the information ready on the site. It just creates frustration when no information is given.
