Market Us Tools made the "Survey on Renewable Products (DuPont - Mohawk)", sponsored by DuPont and Mohawk Industries (trading partner DuPont) in it 65% of U.S. consumers said they were willing to pay more for products that come from renewable sources.
The survey panel notes that issues such as global warming and support for farmers are factors that influence decision making. American consumers are willing to pay up to an additional 5% on products made from renewable materials, and up to 8% extra on products either from re-used materials. The survey also notes that women tend to be more responsible than men in environmental care, and that 86% of them considered that environmental responsibility is important or very important, compared with 74% of men.
