Thursday, March 14, 2013. I was perfectly clear that the essence of SXSW is to walk from bar to bar listening to bands who may not know of its existence. Within these seas of "unknown" names within which you can find more related proposals to your taste.
Even with this whole range of new proposals, and walking the streets of Austin in time winner, is always interesting to get a showcase with some known band, and we did upon arrival at Mahwk which became the House of Vans to present Cold War Kids on Thursday night.
With a new member, guitarist Dann Gallucci who was a founding member of Modest Mouse, the band took the stage mounted on the huge patio venue to play, for about 45 minutes, a set in which took the opportunity to present "Loner Phase "and" Jailbirds "new songs that surely belong to their new material to be released on April 2.
Highlights were experienced with "Hospital Beds" and "Audience Of One", skyscraper feeling a connection with this trip to not stop clapping and singing what Californians skyscraper people shared that night.
